Job Description

Position Summary:
The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial strategy, capital markets activities, and investor relations for the firm. This leadership role requires deep expertise in real estate finance, including debt and equity structuring, lender negotiations, and financial risk management. The Director of Finance will play a critical role in securing funding, optimizing capital structure, and driving financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Debt & Financing Strategy: Lead the firm’s financing strategy, securing and managing debt structures for acquisitions, refinancing, and development projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders and capital providers.
  • Investor Relations: Develop and execute an investor relations strategy to attract and retain institutional and high-net-worth investors. Prepare and present financial reports and updates to investors.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis to support investment decisions and business planning.
  • Capital Markets & Fundraising: Identify and execute capital-raising initiatives, including debt syndications, equity fundraising, and structured finance solutions.
  • Risk Management: Monitor financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate exposure to market fluctuations, interest rates, and other financial uncertainties.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Strategic Growth Initiatives: Collaborate with the executive team on strategic growth initiatives, including M&A, portfolio expansion, and joint ventures.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in real estate finance, investment banking, private equity, or related field.
  • Proven track record in securing and managing complex debt and equity structures.
  • Strong relationships with lenders, investors, and capital market participants.
  • Deep understanding of financial modeling, underwriting, and valuation techniques.
  • Required experience in multifamily real estate investment and development.
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop teams.
