Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated Inventory Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Alameda, California. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels, conducting regular audits, and maintaining effective inventory control processes. This position is vital for supporting operational efficiency and minimizing discrepancies across stock levels. Responsibilities: - Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. - Monitor inventory transactions and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing stock. - Collaborate with other departments to ensure adequate stock levels are available to meet operational needs. - Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move and organize inventory. - Track and manage inventory levels using appropriate tools and systems. - Assist in the planning and execution of annual physical inventory counts. - Process work orders and ensure timely fulfillment of inventory requirements. - Identify and address any issues related to inventory control or storage. - Implement and maintain best practices for inventory management to optimize efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, or a related field. - Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and tools. - Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks. - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. - Experience conducting physical inventory counts and audits. - Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. - Knowledge of work order processing and fulfillment. - Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
