Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. **Northrop Grumman Advanced Weapons** has an opening for an **Embedded Software Engineer** with an active clearance **,** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. **_The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in either Northridge, CA, Tucson, AZ or Linthicum, MD locations._** _Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available._ _The selected candidate for this position is required to be on-site in Northridge, CA._ As an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons, you will be on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation's warfighters. The ideal candidate will be supporting one of our programs for defining and architecting a secured missile weapon system. This position will require close collaboration with team members of other projects within the organization for security architecture designs as well as external partners and customers. **Roles and responsibilities:** A successful candidate will have the qualities and essential functional expertise to: + Develop and implement software for embedded devices and systems based on requirements. + Design٫ develop٫ code٫ test and debug system software. + Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle activities in an agile environment. + Software requirements verification and validation. **Basic qualifications for a** **Embedded Software Engineer level (T02):** + Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related field with 2 years Computer Engineering or Software Engineering experience, or Master's with 0 years Computer Engineering or Software Engineering. + Self-starters and able to efficiently operate in a team environment. + Experience with one or more Software languages/technologies: C/C++, Java, Python, C#. + Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance are required. + A year or more of experience with working in an Agile team. + Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance, United States citizenship is a prerequisite. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with software version control tools such as Git. + Experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems. + Experience with embedded software such as VxWorks. + Experience using Atlassian Tool Suite: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, SonarQube. + Experience with VxWorks. + Active Secret Clearance. *Living in Northridge offers a perfect combination of urban living with the beauty of nature. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
